  i have been here for almost six months now and thought i would mark the occasion by starting one of these threads.

  you may have been lurking on this site for a while, learning a lot but too afraid to participate.

  i was convinced that somehow my ip address would be traced or i would be i.d'ed.

  The Generation Atop The Skyscraper

  one of the most famous photographs taken by the late charles c ebbets showed workmen casually eating lunch on the 69th floor of the ge building during the contruction of rockefeller center.

  this photo was taken 76 years ago, in the summer of 1932. a lot has changed since then.

  many of the buildings you see below don't exist anymore.

  Great post. Don't you just love it when you put a lot of though into something and then a load of wise guys come along making smart ass comments?

  The only thing I would say is that in the past few years there is definitely less emphasis on the great crowd from the 1930's onwards seeing Armageddon. I do remember it from the deep recesses of my JW mind but JW's are not very good at accessing those parts of the brain. I think this concept will be quietly dropped along with the Nethinim and all the other theories that didn't pass the sniff test.

  muney's thread got me thinking....... the legal department does things that are no-no by r&fstandards for 2 reasons.. 1. because they thought (before the information age) it would never see the light of day.. 2. because they think it is a bullsh*t doctrine/interpretation.. so which is the un?

  did they think it would never come out or is it because the un is the beast no more?.

  do any of yall think it is the beast?.

  Ugh. How about people suggesting that Jehovah is using the earthquake in China and typhoon in Myanmar to get rid of some of the undesirables before Armageddon? Someone actually said to me "it never seems to happen in countries where there are a lot of witnesses". I wanted to say "exactly what sort of monster are you?"

  1. bethel in ny suspect high level apostate, cant identify it but know its there.

  2. major organizational changes about to start rolling out, one is changes to the "service committee" and titles, po to be done away with, thats all i know for now.

  was told that if you are the sort of person that cant handle changes, you wont stay in the org for long.

  what would happen if a copy of crisis of conscience and a short well-written covering letter were sent to every single jehovah's witness worldwide?

  i realise this is not practical and probably dubious morally, but that is not the point of my question.

  Why - and I demand to know - are people so convinced that WBTS is under threat? Are you serious

  Because they are making changes which suggest they are low on funds.?

  Because people are winning lawsuits against them?

  Because their rate of growth is slowing?

  Hi, that sounds like an excellent plan for your situation. Also agree with the pp about education.

  From what I've read here, those who are in a big hurry to get out or get their family out end up causing themselves and their family even more pain.
